Not is 24 years I have every seen the ice gone off Fairy Lake this early. We were ice free at 4:10Pm March 29Th. Last night the temperature dropped to minus 6 and some thin ice formed in the bays. Huntsville Marine will have the opportunity to do some water testing for customers on Saturday...unbelievable! We will have a boat in the water today which is another record. I know at least one family is planning to waterski on Easter weekend. the ice normally leaves the lake around April 20th to the 27 and I have seen ice still here in the first week of May. The phone is ringing off the hood with the great weather coming this weekend...hope it lasts.
I think with this weather we will have a special for the weekend and I will put this on the web site. There is such a shortage of inventory for the summer...I have not seen it like this since 1987. Right now ordered boats are not here till June and that's a maybe.
Jaclyn is coming home for the weekend and we will be closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday.
Couple of big meetings coming up this week and early next for potential new boat line and some other great prodcuts exclusive for a large chunk of Ontario and it is a number one boat line! Working on some other nice stuff for the marina too. Can't spill the beans till its official.
Appears to be some dock damage to cottages on the south shore of Fairy Lake from the wind blown ice last week. when we have had a better look I will let you know.
